Friendship is an essential aspect of life that can bring joy, comfort, and support to an individual. However, not all friendships are genuine or healthy. Some people may pretend to be your friends but do not have your best interests at heart. These individuals are often referred to as fake friends. In contrast, real and true friends are individuals who genuinely care about you and are there for you through thick and thin. Here are some signs of fake friends and real true friends:

Signs of Fake Friends:

  1. They are not supportive: A fake friend will not be there for you when you need them the most. They will not offer any words of encouragement or support when you are going through a tough time. Instead, they will often criticize and put you down.
  2. They only come around when they need something: Fake friends only reach out to you when they need a favor or help with something. Once they have received what they need, they disappear until they need something again.
  3. They talk about you behind your back: A fake friend will gossip about you to other people. They will say negative things about you behind your back and may even spread rumors about you.
  4. They don’t respect your boundaries: Fake friends often do not respect your boundaries. They may pressure you to do things that you are uncomfortable with or make fun of you for your beliefs or values.
  5. They are not reliable: Fake friends are often unreliable. They may cancel plans at the last minute or not show up when they said they would.

Signs of Real True Friends:

  1. They are supportive: Real true friends will be there for you when you need them the most. They will offer words of encouragement and support and be there to listen when you need to talk.
  2. They are there for you through thick and thin: Real true friends will be there for you through the good times and the bad times. They will stick by your side even when things get tough.
  3. They respect your boundaries: Real true friends will respect your boundaries. They will not pressure you to do things that you are uncomfortable with or make fun of you for your beliefs or values.
  4. They are reliable: Real true friends are reliable. They will show up when they say they will and keep their promises.
  5. They are trustworthy: Real true friends are trustworthy. You can confide in them and know that they will not gossip about you or betray your trust.

In conclusion, it is important to surround yourself with real true friends who genuinely care about you and have your best interests at heart. Pay attention to the signs of fake friends and be willing to distance yourself from individuals who do not add value to your life. Remember, true friendship is a precious gift that should be cherished and nurtured.
